Fairy Tail By Hiro Mashima - Manga By Selina - Age 14, QLD
Based on the myth if fairies really do have tails, or a search for their actual exsistence, in other words an everlasting adventure; that is Fairy Tail. Fairy Tail is a manga, with the story and art by Hiro Mashima. It revolves around a girl who joins the magicians’ guild by the name of Fairy Tail (as described as before) for she has looked up to it her whole life. This series is filled with different tasks and missions that the guild participates in while still staying aware of their teammates and protecting them. I love this series because it is about this guilds everlasting adventure through different situations, which allows the members to grow close to one another. The characters are unique and well drawn, with all their different personalites, weaknesses and strengths. It is full with comedy, action and fantasy as the name suggests, yet is somewhat of a more abstract version of a fairy tale. In my drawing, it is based on the perspective of the main female protagonist, Lucy Heartfilia who is a mage in the story, who is gazing out of a window reflecting back to her most treasured memories eversince joining the guild in the form of photographs. I drew the design and layout of the picture using pencils. Her clothes are based on the clothes she wore in the Japanese release of the manga. And the small creature next to her is her dog, Plue. I truly love this story as it has countless stories and memories to read about into the future. It is worth the read for those into fantasy with a twist of it in a Japanese-style.
